We at ShowMeTruth™ hope that children everywhere will become acquainted with the Word of God and become wise to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We are excited to partner with you by presenting materials that children will delight in as they hear the words of God.

We also have a hope that our materials will bring children into a place of “active learning" where they can engage with new information and truly enjoy the experience of learning. We believe the brain was designed in such a way that learning is best achieved when children are repeatedly exposed to concepts, and given opportunities to express their understanding in an environment free from pressure. We recommend that you take your time discussing what you and your child see on each page of this book as you snuggle up and enjoy the time together.

Here are some discussion ideas:

  • For younger children, methods that promote "active learning" might include exclaiming and pointing as you see colors, count animals, find numbers, letters, or words, etc. For example, rather than quizzing with the common, “What color is this?” we recommend happily announcing, “I see blue!” Your child will likely delight in pointing out the blue and proving their knowledge on the subject. If they do not point on their own right away, pointing it out as a conclusion to your own statement and announcing, “There it is! The feathers are blue!” will reinforce the budding neural networks - the goal is that they learn!
  • Opening up discussions about passages of the Bible from which certain scriptures were extracted, or why God may have created birds, is a great way to engage an older child’s mind in the active learning process.

Your commentary on the pages will encourage your child to form a commentary of their own and think critically about what is set before them; hopefully, leading them happily into a place of active learning as they build the important foundation that learning at the edge of one’s knowledge is fun and fulfilling.

We believe every child is born with the plea in their heart:
“Show Me Truth.”
